Alfa Romeo is the Milan maker of spirited sporting cars, and its 1970s Alfetta put a race-bred rear transaxle under an everyday sedan.

This page is for one model only: the Alfa Romeo Alfetta. It isn't a wall of every car ever made, just yours.

Help choosing the right gasket

The 27001 is a pre-cut, multi-fit Stant thermostat gasket on a BU 1 card: a wide oval with an oval center opening, two "REMOVE" tabs for enlarging the opening, and a field of embossed knockout circles for the different bolt patterns. It carries more than one bolt-hole pattern. Stant's own card says to rotate the gasket about the opening until the thermostat and mounting bolt holes line up with the matching holes in your engine or outlet housing, then trim the excess gasket material. It's a different series from the Stant 27101 (a "BB" card) and is listed for completely different vehicles, so don't treat the two numbers as interchangeable.

The vehicle list on this page comes from parts-catalog compatibility data for the Stant 27001. Stant's own printed catalogs don't list the 27001, so treat the list as a strong lead, not a guarantee. Before you order, match three things: your year, your model, and your engine. Then check the bolt pattern: set your thermostat housing (or your old gasket) on the photo and make sure the opening and bolt holes line up. If you're not sure, just ask Don and Kathy. They'll help you sort it out.

Real people behind the parts

Don and Kathy Leask have been selling obsolete and restoration auto parts online since 1997. Their eBay store, carparts2, was the second auto parts store on eBay. Over the years it grew into one of the biggest online sources of obsolete parts, with something like 11,000 to 17,000 unique parts listed.

These gaskets come from Don's own shelves, in original Stant packaging.

Price is $9.95 plus $3.00 for shipping.
