Stant 27003 Thermostat Gasket for Datsun 200SX (1977–1979)
Don's own Stant 27003, still on its BU 3 card. Click the photo for a closer look.
Datsun was the name Nissan sold its cars under in America until the early 1980s, and those little Datsuns earned a reputation for running a long time on very little. On the Datsun side, the parts-catalog data lists the Stant 27003 for 10 models from 1975 to 1983.
This page is for one model only: the Datsun 200SX. It isn't a wall of every car ever made, just yours.

Help choosing the right gasket
The 27003 is a pre-cut, multi-fit Stant thermostat gasket on a BU 3 card: a shaped gasket with a large round center opening, several bolt holes and an ear. It carries more than one bolt-hole pattern. Stant's own card says to rotate the gasket about the opening until the thermostat and mounting bolt holes line up with the matching holes in your engine or outlet housing, then trim the excess gasket material. It's not the same part as the Stant 27103. The 27103 card ("BB 3") is blank gasket material that you cut to fit yourself. The 27003 comes pre-cut.
The vehicle list on this page comes from parts-catalog compatibility data for the Stant 27003. Stant's own printed catalogs don't list the 27003, so treat the list as a strong lead, not a guarantee. Before you order, match three things: your year, your model, and your engine. Then check the bolt pattern: set your thermostat housing (or your old gasket) on the photo and make sure the opening and bolt holes line up. If you're not sure, just ask Don and Kathy. They'll help you sort it out.
Real people behind the parts
Don was born in 1936 and grew up on a Saskatchewan farm, four miles from a town of about 150 people. As a young man he drove trucks through deep snow in Canada's Northwest Territories, hauling dynamite to seismic crews. Kathy grew up in South Dakota, blizzards and all. Together they've spent close to three decades helping people keep old cars on the road.
These gaskets come from Don's own shelves, in original Stant packaging.
Price is $9.95 plus $3.00 for shipping.
Don and Kathy offer a fair deal for this. Buying for a club, a shop, or a whole fleet of project cars? Even better.
