Stant 27103 Thermostat Gasket for Ford Courier (1979–1982)

Ford built cars, pickups, and vans for every kind of driver, and many Ford engine families stayed in production for years, which is why one small gasket can show up across a long list of models. On the Ford side, the catalogs list the Stant 27103 for 12 models from 1949 to 1994.

This page is for one model only: the Ford Courier. It isn't a wall of every car ever made, just yours.

Help choosing the right gasket

The 27103 is a 3.25 by 3.5 inch thermostat gasket blank from Stant, the kind a mechanic reaches for when the original cut gasket for an older or less common housing is hard to find. Lay your thermostat housing on it, check that the opening and bolt holes line up with your engine's outlet, and trim to fit if needed. Stant cut a different gasket for each housing design, and Don stocks several of them, so check which number your car calls for.

Before you order, match three things: your year, your model, and your engine. Catalogs list fitment by vehicle, but some engines had more than one thermostat housing design over the years. If your old gasket is still in hand, compare its shape and bolt holes, or just ask Don and Kathy. They'll help you sort it out.

Real people behind the parts

Don was born in 1936 and grew up on a Saskatchewan farm, four miles from a town of about 150 people. As a young man he drove trucks through deep snow in Canada's Northwest Territories, hauling dynamite to seismic crews. Kathy grew up in South Dakota, blizzards and all. Together they've spent close to three decades helping people keep old cars on the road.

These gaskets come from Don's own shelves, in original Stant packaging.

Price is $9.95 plus shipping.

Don and Kathy offer a fair deal for this. Buying for a club, a shop, or a whole fleet of project cars? Even better.
