Stant 27132 Thermostat Gasket for Pontiac Bonneville (1978–1986)
Don's very first car was a 1936 Pontiac convertible, bought by his father for about $600 when Don was in high school in Saskatchewan. So Pontiac has a special place in this shop. On the Pontiac side, the catalogs list the Stant 27132 for 11 models from 1975 to 1987.
This page is for one model only: the Pontiac Bonneville. It isn't a wall of every car ever made, just yours.
Model this gasket fits
- Pontiac Bonneville (1978–1986)
- Engines listed in the catalog: 6 Cyl 3.8L, 6 Cyl 4.1L, 8 Cyl 5.7L
Help choosing the right gasket
The 27132 is a Stant Stat Lok thermostat gasket. The catalogs list its hole diameter at 1.88 inches, which is a handy check against the old gasket in your hand. "Stat Lok" means it has an adhesive backing that holds the thermostat centered in its seat while you bolt the housing down, so there's no gasket cement, no thermostat falling out, and less risk of cracking the outlet flange. Stant cut a different gasket for each housing design, and Don stocks several of them, so check which number your car calls for.
Before you order, match three things: your year, your model, and your engine. Catalogs list fitment by vehicle, but some engines had more than one thermostat housing design over the years. If your old gasket is still in hand, compare its shape and bolt holes, or just ask Don and Kathy. They'll help you sort it out.
Real people behind the parts
In their early web days, Don and Kathy built separate "garages" online, one for Mustangs, one for Chevettes, and one for Corvettes, so that every owner could find their own corner. These pages carry on that idea: every model gets its own page.
These gaskets come from Don's own shelves, in original Stant packaging.
Price is $9.95 plus shipping.
Don and Kathy offer a fair deal for this. Buying for a club, a shop, or a whole fleet of project cars? Even better.
