Stant 27150 Thermostat Gasket for Ford Country Squire (1966–1974, 1987–1991)

1966–1974, 1987–1991

Ford trucks, vans, and cars from the mid-1960s into the early 2000s fill barns and weekend driveways across North America. When the thermostat housing comes off a project Ford, the right Stat Lok gasket is the quiet part that keeps the job from turning into a second trip to the parts counter.

This page is for one model only: the Ford Country Squire. It isn't a wall of every car ever made, just yours.

Help choosing the right gasket

The 27150 (also marked BB50) is a Stant Stat Lok thermostat gasket, made in the USA. It replaces the older Stant number 25150. "Stat Lok" means it has an adhesive backing that holds the thermostat centered in its seat while you bolt the housing down, so there's no gasket cement, no thermostat falling out, and less risk of cracking the outlet flange. Its sister parts, the 27140 and 27167, fit different engine families — the 27150 is the Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury gasket — so check which number your car calls for.

Before you order, match three things: your year, your model, and your engine. Catalogs list fitment by vehicle, but some engines had more than one thermostat housing design over the years. If your old gasket is still in hand, compare its shape and bolt holes, or just ask Don and Kathy. They'll help you sort it out.

Real people behind the parts

Don and Kathy Leask have been selling obsolete and restoration auto parts online since 1997. Their eBay store, carparts2, was the second auto parts store on eBay. Over the years it grew into one of the biggest online sources of obsolete parts, with something like 11,000 to 17,000 unique parts listed.

These gaskets come from Don's own shelves, in original Stant bags marked Made in USA.

No list price. Let's make a deal.

Don and Kathy don't do fixed prices on these. It works like a good swap meet: tell them what you need and how many, and they'll work out a fair deal with you one on one. Buying for a club, a shop, or a whole fleet of project cars? Even better.
