# Stant 27138 Thermostat Gasket for Chevrolet Malibu, 1975

Chevrolet built cars and trucks for nearly every kind of driver, from the farm pickup to the family Suburban to the little commuter car. On the Chevrolet side, the catalogs list the Stant 27138 for 13 models from 1975 to 1991.

This page is for one model only: the Chevrolet Malibu. It isn't a wall of every car ever made, just yours.

## Model this gasket fits

- Chevrolet Malibu (1975)
- Engines listed in the catalog: 8 Cyl 5.7L

## Help choosing the right gasket

The 27138 is a Stant Stat Lok thermostat gasket. "Stat Lok" means it has an adhesive backing that holds the thermostat centered in its seat while you bolt the housing down, so there's no gasket cement, no thermostat falling out, and less risk of cracking the outlet flange. Stant cut a different gasket for each housing design, and Don stocks several of them, so check which number your car calls for.

Before you order, match three things: your year, your model, and your engine. Catalogs list fitment by vehicle, but some engines had more than one thermostat housing design over the years. If your old gasket is still in hand, compare its shape and bolt holes, or just ask Don and Kathy. They'll help you sort it out.

## Real people behind the parts

Back in 1997, when almost nobody had a website, Don and Kathy were already selling car parts online. They were the very first web customer of Daniel Comp's Intelligent Network. They've since sold through eBay, Bonanza, and their own site, and kept the sales coming no matter how often the internet changed its rules.

These gaskets come from Don's own shelves, in original Stant packaging.

## Price is $9.95 plus shipping.

Don and Kathy offer a fair deal for this. Buying for a club, a shop, or a whole fleet of project cars? Even better.
