## Story

Another story about trips to that particular camp. On the way in, before I got to the little Hudson Bay Trading Post, there was a great big oil rig sitting alongside of the road about 10 miles before the Hudson Bay Trading Post. And I kind of learned that if I went into the drilling rig and into the cook shack, they would give me a coffee and whatever I wanted. Because they were just bored when the people weren't working.

So I got treated royally in the cook shack or in the dining hall. They cooked me a steak dinner when I started out for coffee. Anyway, it was around Christmas time and I had a trip up there and I went to go into the drilling rig to get my goodies. And they had guards at the gate and very crudely told me, "Get out of here. You're not welcome in here." So I turned around and left and went and quit going. going in there.

So at Christmas time, I went back to Calgary for some time. My buddy played the stock market and he was all excited. He had bought some shares in, I think it was Farney Drilling. That's who had the rig in there. And they were selling at like seven cents a share, dirt cheap. And they went up to $10, $12 a share. And so my buddy was telling me, if I had just known that was happening, I could have been a millionaire, but I didn't know what it was all about.

And I said, "Hell, I knew there's a big oil strike there three weeks ago." And I told him about always stopping there to get something and got turned away like, "Get out of here. We don't let anybody in here." Obviously something's happening. So he was quite amazed that I had all this information about the offsite drilling rig.
